Regardez, Ecoutez et Repetez
Aimez vos Amis
Acceptez vous
Et donnez nous tous un sourir garcon d'emo

This is the "secret" final track on Regardez, Ecoutez Et Repetez and it's nearly an INSTRUMENTAL.

The tune was written a while before as an attempt to get used in an advert for The Sunday Times. I've done LOADS of these, writing songs to Vague Briefs. They never seem to get USED but it's always lots of fun to do and I've got some good stuff out of it.

Anyway, when we were nearing completion of the album there was some discussion about the ENDING. The general feeling was that it finished too suddenly/completely, and that we could do with another tiny song on the end. I suggested a few of the aforesaid Songs For Adverts and this was the one we eventually picked.

I was VERY pleased, as I love the tune, and especially like the way Tom did the strings for this version. The idea of having TALKING on it came to me in a FLASH one day - it's meant to sound like a class responding to a lesson on CASSETTE TAPE, as that's what the title is based on. I'm not sure that the classroom bit really came across but BLIMEY, when Robbie applied the EFFECTS to make my French Attempt sound like that cassette I got a SHIVER. It sounded EXACTLY how I remembered it!

FASCINATING RECORDING FACT: the very first few bars of guitar on this track are taken from my original demo version, as apparently it had more "feel" than the one we did in the studio.
