The next show's on Thursday 1 June with The Boy In The Cupboard, Nathaniel Metcalfe, and a full band set from PO! As ever, doors are 7pm for a 7.30pm start, with the whole thing done and dusted by about 9.30pm.

MORE PLAYLISTS
Last month we UNLEASHED 'Twenty Golden GRATES', a Spotify Playlist of The Validators' top twenty HITS as chosen by us. Since then Mr T Pattison and Mr J Kell have very kindly created similar playlists for Apple Music and Google Play, so now you can enjoy it over a RANGE of streaming services, thus:

Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/user/mjhibbett/playlist/5SgmU9FbtaDuSubE8N4W3M
Apple: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/playlist/twenty-golden-grates/idpl.76e6460bd6c648d6bf7e01503f34cbea
Google: https://play.google.com/music/preview/pl/AMaBXyneHphAy52GHLCDl6e7trZHSME-peGw4XksG5TL6Os6ejQp4RUSr_BU2t8wwOlMbV04XCrRxiJTTibVgBERMIKz33n97Q

Better yet, Mr Kell has also created his OWN playlist, cunningly titled 'Golden GRATES (Group B)', containing twenty songs that DIDN'T make it onto the official list, right here:

This seems like a LOT of fun to me, and it made me wonder whether anybody else would like to have a go at creating their own playlist of alternative choices? If you do let me know and I'll feature them here next time!

COMICS
I'm off to The International Graphic Novel and Comics Conference in DUNDEE next month, where I'll be giving a presentation called 'Latverian Incursions: Dr Doom and Cold War Politics', which I am VERY excited about. Before that though I'm helping to organise a SYMPOSIUM at Central St Martins called 'Frame:Works'. It's all about working in comics within boundaries and/or restrictions, and we have got some GRATE guests. If you're interested, it's on Friday 16 June - more details HERE:
http://csmframeworks.eventbrite.co.uk

AND FINALLY
Long-standing chum and Totally Acoustic alumnus Ms Jenny Lockyer has a new one-woman show about Amy Johnson called 'Last Flight Out'. It's on in Croydon on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 June and sounds FAB - full details HERE:

And I think that's about enough for this month - thanks for listening and see you next time!

Cheers,

Mark
